Billy Kerr Sportive Saturday 15 August – Only 3 Weeks to Go
Eamonn Loughran is the latest high profile entrant to this year’s Billy Kerr Sportive.
The 45 year old, former WBO World welterweight title holder still keeps himself in great shape and intends to take part in the 41 miles event and add his support to the cancer fund for children charity.

Eamonn and his cycling pal Wilbert Millar plan to complete the ride together. Eamonn, like Billy Kerr, is an inductee in the Ballymena sporting hall of fame.

In 2013 Eamonn took part in the ill-fated Boston marathon and counted himself "blessed” not to have been caught up in the bomb blast at the event.

There is now less than three weeks to the Billy Kerr Sportive on Saturday 15th August with. Enter on line at www.ballymenaroadclub.co.uk

Cost for entry is £25 for the event. Riders will receive a goodie bag and be entitled to refreshments during the cycle and at the finish location. Notice for all helpers for Bill Kerr Sportive
We encourage as many club members to cycle the event, if there are members who are not able to ride, their help on the day with registration, marshalling, feeding stations etc would be appreciated. We plan to have riders leaving Eaton Park in groups of 40 and we would like a number of club members to be a group leaders especially those who rode the sportive routes recently.
