BRC 2020 Reliability Trial this Sunday!!!!

The 2020 Ballymena Road Club – Chain Reaction Cycles – Reliability Trial will be held this Sunday, 26th January 2020.

Registration/sign on will be from 9am, with an entry fee of £10. 'A' run to leave 1st at 10am. Entrants will divided into two groups with a choice of two distances of 63 miles and 75 miles.

The A group will face a 75 miles ride, which will take in Antrim, Greystone, Templepatrick, The Longshot to Ballyrobert, then Mossley, Greenisland, Woodburn, Kilroot, Glynn, Larne and the pit stop at Ballygally. Then it is on around the coast road and home via Glenarm, Carnlough and Glencloy before the fast run in through the Braid to Broughshane and back to base, where hot showers and post event refreshments await. This group averaged 19.5 mph last year.

The B group's 63 miles ride will have a target speed of 17mph. This route will take in Antrim, Greystone, Templepatrick, then Larne and the pit stop at Ballygally. Then it is on around the coast road and home via Glenarm, Carnlough and Glencloy before the run in through the Braid to Broughshane and back to base.

The Touring Group will operate an additional 3rd route on the day (53 miles) which will take them out the Larne Road towards Glenwherry and then right on to Ballynashee road and on to Ballyeaston and the Lower Ballyboley road to Kilwaughter and on to the pit stop at Ballygally, where toilet facilities are available. 

Cycling Ireland requires that riders, who are intending to take part, have already applied for their 2020 Cycling Ireland membership. ALL riders must produce their license at sign on. Those who have not yet received their license must produce evidence that their license has been applied for (email printout, screenshot etc.).
