Matthew 2nd at Toome Time Trial
Ballymena Road Club – Chain Reaction Cycles – had six riders in last Thursday night’s "Spires Trilogy Time Trial series” round two event at Toomebridge.
BRC’s Matthew Brennan was one of only two riders who broke the 22 minutes barrier, for the 10 miles event, on what was a windy evening for time trialling. The other was the winner - Rodney Stewart (Team Vision Racing) who recorded the fastest time of the 45 competitors with 21 minutes 13 seconds.
Matthew’s time, of 21minutes 48 seconds, was good enough for second position.
Other results were (3) Stephen Stewart (Spires) 22.06 (4) Jason Henry (Unattached) 22.10 (5) James Mullan (Roe Valley) 22.24 (6) Peter Kennedy (East Antrim) 22.26.
