Ballymena Road Club’s William Loughridge and Matthew Brennan finished in ninth and tenth places in Saturday’s Spires Grand Prix road race at Ballyronan.
The race was won by Fraser Duncan of Northern who, along with Gary Cranston (East Antrim) were the only riders who managed to bridge the two minute starting handicap from the A1/A2 scratch group to the A3's.
Duncan took the win ahead of Cranston, while the remaining places were taken by the A3's with veteran rider Gordon Scott of East Antrim showing a return to form by taking third.
BRC rider Michael Carroll had started with the scratch group but failed to overcome his starting handicap. Hall Booth (BRC) also came in with this group which was contesting third place.
Aaron Millican (Bann Wheelers) won the A4 event ahead of James Mullan (Roe Valley) with Chris Brown (Ards) third.
