"We had a good time trial tonight with a total of 7 competitors.  Thankfully the rain managed to stay away.  In a change to the usual conditions, there was a headwind on the outbound leg of the time trial towards the ECOS Roundabout.  Riders where rewarded however with a tailwind on the homebound journey which helped the competitors on their final sprint to the line. "

Next Monday (18th August) will be the last of the 2014 Youth Time Trials at Ballymena Chain Reaction Cycles.  The event will be 2.5m, from the Michelin factory to the Ecos Centre Roundabout and back.  Signon will be from 6.30pm at the Michelin Sports Club (Woodside Road), with first rider off at 7pm sharp.  Helmets and working rear lights MUST be used - no exceptions.  Two volunteers are needed - a push off person and a roundabout observer.  If you can help out, please get in contact with Leo McCavana (leomccavana@hotmail.com, mobile: 078 555 29742).
